Jeremy's Climb for a Cause

I am a 15 year-old sophomore at San Francisco University High School. Since my family's first trip to Africa, I have had a goal of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro as a personal challenge. I knew it would be extremely difficult but it was something I wanted to prove I could do. I am grateful to be healthy and able to take on this challenge, but I realize how many of the world's children are less fortunate and will never have the opportunities that I have. So I wanted to make reaching my personal challenge more meaningful by finding a way to help those in need. I am going to use my climb to raise funds for children and families who have been devastated by HIV and AIDS.
Please join me on my challenge this February to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest point and the world's highest freestanding mountain at over 19,000 feet. My goal is to raise a dollar for every foot of elevation I climb for Keep A Child Alive http://keepachildalive.org, an organization dedicated to providing life-saving AIDS treatment, care, nutrition, support services and love to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. With your help, my every step will raise much needed funds for children and families who may not be able to survive otherwise.
